"In The Event of An Emergency Landing....

PLEASE leave behind your carry-on bags."

These were the words I heard for the first time upon our descent into a fog bound O'Hare Airport in Chicago on December 26th. The words were chilling and an apparent response to the accident the occurred a week or so earlier in Colorado where that Continental Airlines plane skidded off the runway and dozens were injured. I guess the mental process of everything is OK and act like nothing was wrong kicked in and people were collecting their belongings while others were struggling to get out of the airplane while it was burning.

Anyway, driving home from the airport I felt disbelief in how we landed in conditions I didn't feel comfortable driving in.

Prayers were answered.
